Howl Like a Dog!

This just might come back to haunt me when Timothy is 2, but it is just so dang cute right now! Ill deal with the consequences later. As long as he does not do it in church during a prayer I think we will be just fine!

Saying Please and Thank You!

Timothy's vocabulary is really beginning to take off! He is really starting to mimic many words that he hears us say. Which can be BAD if we are not really watching what we are saying. It is so amazing to watch how he is really starting to communicate with us. Of course I know he is still very frustrated that many times we do not know what he wants or is trying to tell us, but he does his absolute best to point to something or at least give us some sort of idea of what it is he is after.

Everyday this child amazes me with what he has learned from his school. They are the absolute best, and we love how well they have taken care of Timothy. On a side note when we drop or pick Timothy up from school on the way to his classroom we always stop by a window that looks into the infant room. Timothy always points and smiles really big and says "babies" (think of it with a French accent, that is how Timothy says it). I am fairly positive that he is smiling at the little babies, not the hot girl that works in that room!

Timothy Dancing...kind of.

Here is a quick video of Timothy dancing. Please focus on Timothy, not on the background, as it was a cleaning day!

How Can I Love Somebody So Much?

Timothy's new smile. No idea where he got it from!

A very common theme growing up I heard from my parents is that I will never understand how much that they love me and my brother until I have children of my own. This is a statement that is so incredibly true! Timothy is now 16 months old. Everyday is a new experience with him. Watching him grow and learn it is absolutely incredible. How, quite honestly, can I love somebody so much?

Sarah’s cousin Laura once made a great statement saying that “everyday is like Christmas” with her two daughters. And I understand what she means. My son and later this year, my other child, boy or girl, are the greatest gifts I have ever received. Timothy lights up my world everyday. Whether it be him thinking that any TV in the house, once turned on, will be Mickey Mouse Club House so he can dance, or him just lying his head on my shoulder and patting my back when he is tired. I Love It! There are days he can stress me out to the max, and I am sure I am still very unprepared for what he has in store for me later! (Although as good of a kid as he is now, I am sure it won’t be much…I pray!). But I would never change a day that he stresses me out for a day to have never known or had him in my life

I have truly been able to understand that there is a presence of God after having a child. I can not understand in my personal belief how, we as humans can love, without having been loved by someone who is far greater than us first. To me there has to be something there always watching over us. And I feel that when I or Sarah are not watching over Timothy, someone is. It is impossible for love to be evolutionary, science can not test that, or to the depths that I love my son.

Timothy being Timothy

Here is a quick video (I am sorry it is sideways, I do not know how to make it right side up!) of how difficult it was for us to take the picture of Timothy with his “Big Brother” shirt on. I hope you enjoy it!

Oh and he LOVES to talk on phones. Timothy will pick up any phone just lying around and talk into it. In some cases he has had minute long conversations with whoever is on the other line, usually nobody because the phone is dead.

Update!

Good day to everyone. So very sorry for the extremely long delay in posts. Nearly half a year since I last posted an update. I will do my best to keep everyone posted on what is going on in the Clifford world as best I can. A resolution maybe?

For starters if you are unaware of the news, Sarah and I are expecting our second child in September. We are extremely excited about this planned event! Timothy is still a little young to really know what we are referring to when we touch "mommy's" belly, but in time I am sure he will be excited as well as be a great big brother.

Speaking of Timothy he has been doing outstanding in school (daycare). He is one of the favorites of his teachers and I do not say this just with a father's pride! This statement is the truth! Only backed up by his teachers telling us this, as well as seeing some of the other little human beings and how they act in the class. Completely different. My son has manners. Some of these kids are unbelievable brats!

Other than school, Timothy had tubes put into his ears in December. He was suffering from constant ear infections keeping him away from school. Putting tubes in his ears was one of the best decisions Sarah and I have made for him. We were not excited at all about our baby boy having to actually have surgery (albeit minor) but it has improved not only his hearing but his motor skills and his physical skills also. He is talking and babbling a lot, and is now running! Some words that Timothy has down are the staples Mama and Dada. Dan is a new one he is really using a lot lately (Dan is Sarah's brother who lives with us). Timothy also says Puppies, Bubbles, nana which means just a snack but NANA with heavy emphasis on the second NA means a banana. He also can sign for "more" if he wants some more of snack.

It is absolutely amazing to see this child grow everyday!

As far as Sarah. She is entering into her busy season at work...pregnant! She did this two years ago and was fortunate enough to not have morning sickness but was constantly tired. So hopefully this pregnancy will be smooth as the first one!

Sarah also had a huge weight lifted off her shoulders as she accomplished a great feat in her life and passed the CPA Exam!

As for me I am still seeking employment with a school district. I am currently substituting with Plano ISD. I will soon be apart of a few other school districts. This has been quite a challenge to find a teaching position! Who knew?

Well this is all I have time for right now. Again, I will keep up with this blog the best that I can.

Thank you for reading!
